13 production plants
Biscuits Dupon has 13 production plants in 10 countries and, together with the acquired companies, forms the D'Hoore Group, a market leader in the industrial production of ice cream cones, packaging and engineering.
Biscuits Dupon began in the 19th century in Italy, where the Di Meo family made ice cream cones by hand. With the move to industrial production in the 1960s and subsequent acquisitions, including the Big Drum Group in 2014, Dupon has grown into an international market leader in biscuits, packaging and engineering for the ice cream industry.

Dupon Belgium moved it's production plant from Ichtegem to Torhout.
Dupon acquires Big Drum Group, a producer of ice cream cones, ice cream packaging and ice cream filling machines, with locations in five countries. This was followed by an acquisition in Colombia.
The market leader in France, with offices in France, Germany and Russia – followed.
Dick D'Hoore, son of Georges and Jeannine, has led the family business. Under his leadership, Biscuits Dupon has grown into an international market leader. He oversaw the acquisitions of La Bastille and Liobel, which were integrated into Ichtegem.
In the 1960s, daughter Jeannine and her husband Georges D'Hoore took over the management of the company. They made the transition from artisanal to industrial production, a risky investment that turned out to be a great success. This marked the beginning of a period of rapid international expansion. In 1995, sister company Kadipack was founded, specialising in the production of aluminium packaging.
In the late 19th century, the Italian Di Meo family began making ice cream cones by hand. Later they moved to Brussels, where they founded a craft business. Prosper Dupon, one of the employees, expanded the company in Ghent and married Louise Di Meo.
After the Second World War they settled in Ichtegem and started producing ice cream cones and wafers, which led to the founding of Biscuits Dupon. With the purchase of a semi-automatic oven, the company grew into one of the three market leaders in the Benelux.
